Hinduism, a way of life

India or Bharat is the place where the Human race learned the art of existence with nature. 

People of Bharat have analyzed & understood the symbiotic relationship with nature & other living beings. For doing it they have resorted to the human instinct of questioning, reasoning, fact-finding & solution-seeking. In this journey which started thousands of years ago, they have created a treasure trove of knowledge in respect of the evolution of human beings, the purpose of human existence, connection with the supernatural power, ethical way of living, metaphysics, etc. 

The traces of the treasure of knowledge can be seen in one of the oldest religious text of humanity The Rigved (before 1700 BC) followed by the three other Vedas ( Samveda Yajurveda, Atherveda). The people of Bharat that is India have beautifully connected their Trinity Deities Brahma Vishnu & Mahesh with the aspects of all form of  life ie  Creator, Nurturer , Destroyer.  

The 360 degrees thought process of the Bharatvasis following HINDU faith encouraged inward & outward insight & analysis. This style of living resulted in more and more gems of knowledge and wisdom in the form of Puranas, Samhitas, Upanishads & masterpieces like the great Bhagavad-Gita. The content of these texts reveals that for reaching conclusions about, the existence of supernatural power its connection with human beings, metaphysics, science, philosophy, etc. are derived based on the question & answer process promoted under Guru Shishya Parampara (teacher & disciple interaction) in a transparent & open manner. 

Nothing was imposed, no directives are mandatory, no single text or book or narrative is declared as last or final word & scope in personal space is left open for further discussion, questioning, fact-finding, and reasoning sync with changing time.

Based on the above, the Hindu faith or religion or way of life is evolved over thousands of years. As this has given ample flexibility for choosing one’s path as per his/her findings, beliefs, level of mental comfort, the emancipation from any force or imposition of social/community binding to or belief, follow or act in a particular manner has remained inbuilt/given. People have accordingly followed many ways & styles of worship of almighty or supernatural power in the form of deities. Of their choice but the spirit of the above-said knowledge remains in the core of it. That is reflected in “SARVE BHAVANTI SUKHIN SARVE SANT NIRAMAYA” i.e a peaceful coexistence with nature and surroundings with a wish of happiness for all.

In its long history, as a natural process, some distortions in interpretation of ethos or spirit or insertions of new rituals in Hindu way of life occurred due to the effect OF SOME VESTED INTERESTS but the basics of above said way of life and resource of knowledge encouraged the followers to find out escape route sync with time and socio-political environment. Resultant offsprings like Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, etc came into the existence and people as per their comfort level started practicing the tenets suggested by the preachers of these faiths.

When the Preachers started sharing their simple & less ritualistic ways of life/ path of salvation many believers of the Hindu faith felt comfortable assimilating them in their way of life. Preachers had often found support from rulers of state who after adopting it played a role in spreading the message with state support. But History tells that even then the bloodshed or suppression or coercion has never been done to promote new “isms” or eradicate the Hindu Way of life... because the basic spirit and references were the same in all.

Propagation of this faith or Hindu way of life via any campaign or force or coercion or deceit has never been done. Its Philosophy, ethos, spirit, or tenets have remained transparent and open to scrutiny for people. Come, see, examine, experiment, analyze, understand and satisfy yourself.
